C26

Did you know about the Catholic rapper  C26?    Great success story in more ways than one.  Try to learn something each day because all good things come to an end.  Some not soon enough like Sherrod Brown, our disgrace from Ohio, who praises all American workers on this Labor Day, even some who are "not paid enough."  Yep, a mind polluted by the liberal left cannot escape from criticizing the status of 'something' in America.  Add to the list of those who should go home and garden - Biden, Bernie, Elizabeth, Kamala, etc., since the good things in America are NOT ending whether they say so or not.

Two losses

First, we have lost any sense of class; Open airways to Glenn Beck ( reluctantly) and he says: "We're the floatiest poop in the toilet bowl,"  referring to democracy in America as the best of all possible  systems of government.  What lack of class.

Second, we've lost the AMA (American Medical Association) which just revealed after a 'study' that 2nd hand smoke from vaping may be harmful to adults and children.  What absence of realism.

Two losses, which come to think of it, are no real losses after all.

Keep laughing

In their first "pre-season game",  OSU is the 27 point favorite.  Who couldn't guess?

Greedy lawyers are punishing JUUL who in a commercial worked "magically" for a man who wanted to and did quit smoking thanks to their product.  Who couldn't predict this?

Ethos, a life insurance company wants "stand-up" guys who don't "have 2 months to wait" to purchase their product.  Ethical, right?

Are you struggling to pay off debt?  They won't let the credit companies "trick" you into thinking you have to pay it all off.  No one should EVER struggle to do the right thing.  What does ever mean?

The Diamond Cellar finances everything, including the tax for 5 years interest free.  Do you believe?

Keep laughing, Laughter is good medicine. You'll live longer because of such nonsense.

Crestor

What has made my day? Crestor.  Bringing Hyperlipoproteinemia under control with Crestor seems like a 'miracle' when I comprehend the numbers before and after for out-of-control genetic high cholesterol and LDL. Of course, no case is closed; just ongoing.

Ads continue unabated over the radiowaves for hyperbolic, non-grammatical and unrealistic nonsense.  Who would want to give money to this 'worthy' cause - "non-toxic targeted cancer therapies"? Yes, from this insanity to Taylor Swift raking in more big bucks on Spotify for her new album, "Love,"  I guess anything is possible under the sun and/or shade in America.

Banish Ultrasound?

Brilliant observation on my part - why pursue an ultrasound to determine if your baby will be male or female IF no gender exists?  Ban ultrasounds for expectant mothers. Join our modern world.

A new Columbus teachers' contract provides for 1. 3% salary increase for each of 3 years of new contract. 2. 27 students maximum for class size. 3. No suspensions for conduct problems to be replaced by in-school detentions and counseling to cut down on discipline problems.  Blackmail from unions is nothing new since it 1st proved successful.

Girly men

Nothing beats empirical evidence or studying reality for a while. Most girly men, emotional, touchy-feely, liberal thinking 'men' with questionable testosterone tend to have female offspring.  Not all the time. But I've often said, "of course, he has girls."  Since I'm not 'woke' to the brave, new world we now inhabit, just disregard whatever I say at the peril of being labeled 'ist.'

Columbus schools provide free feminine hygiene products. One thing above is like the other isn't it? A George Orwell quote is on order:  "We have sunk to such a depth that the restatement of the obvious has become the first duty of intelligent men."  Oops, a wise man used the 'bad' word 'men.'

Are you not tired of hearing from the progressive Democrat left, that we have the most expensive and worst health care system in the world, BUT Ruth Bader Ginsberg who has had 4 bouts with cancer at 85 is not dead yet!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the news that's unfit to speak

Here we go:
1. Toyota recalls automatic defective rearview mirrors so "check behind you before backing up."
2. Columbus schools have 31 new resource officers (who pays?) located in various buildings.
3. San Francisco has no criminals or felons now, just "justice involved persons."
4. Cooper stadium has been empty since 2008;  couldn't it have been used as an agora?
5. "It's raining so don't forget, leave your wipers on."
6. Patriot Mobile's ad says "we have it all" but ends their an with "supplies are limited."

Our private, local library has a $50 collectors edition  tabletop book from Trump's inauguration.  Who knew? I do. People donate any and everything.  Who can believe it?  I do, benefiting 'secondhand.'

Are we safe?

Our esteemed Governor has announced his "holistic solution based approach" to keeping kids safe in schools from violence and whatnot. Are they safe?  The Dept. of Energy says we should keep our thermostats at 82 degrees sleeping, 85 degrees when absent home and 78 degrees during our daytime living.  Readers, are we safe from our government?  The Mayor of  Columbus announced PACT,  the "police and community together" program. Bet you can tell me if you think his city will be safe? Hundreds of lawsuits against drug companies with millions in blood money to be paid because of complicity and guilt in the opioid epidemic.  Here's the stat.  400,000 people died from drug overdose deaths involving opioids from 1999 to 2017. Guess how many since 2017?  Guess how many will be prevented by multitudes of fines?  Are we safer? I know I'm safe from opioids by not choosing them; what about you?  Are you safe?

More mishmosh

Come on... again I hear about being "proactive in real time," from some politician. Boiler plate language from every ego looking for an audience.  Three hours of Glenn Beck's megalomania on parade. Radio ads using lies, hyperbole, misdirection, misinterpretation, even marginal slander to get your notice. But if ears remain alert ( and mine are) I picked up on Rush Limbaugh's daily political commentary this morning which ended with a precious double entente on Pete the Presidential candidate.  Rush suggested he pay attention not to the "oval orifice," the White House, but the "oval orifice." Just the kind of racy double entente of which Shakespeare could be proud.  (Remember, dear reader, Pete is gay).

Global warming hasn't missed my little spot on the planet with beastly heat, stagnant air and humidity which saps physical ambition. Hats off to capitalists who invented air conditioning knowing human beings would like it. Hats up in the air to further progress because my electric bill does NOT skyrocket using my 4 A/C.

Can I agree?

Can I agree with anything I hear or read nowadays? Try these examples to help you decide.  About a cyanide spill, 'she' says we need to have the "superiority of safety." The extension agent answers this a question:  "I'm planning to add either fresh strawberry or cucumber slices to a pitcher of water to serve with a lunch I'm hosting.  Are there any food safety concerns that I need to be aware of when making fruit or vegetable-infused water?" Congressman Michael Turner says: "What they're recently just proposed is that rather than making it the entire time period in order to try to limit the scoring costs that they would say 90 days prior to release that the benefits would come back." Next, the T-Cap program was accepted in order to receive a subsidy grant from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Division of Parole and Community Services, Bureau of Community Services.  The purpose of the grant is to help supervise, treat and hold low-level, non-violent offenders accountable.  Finally 1 million was approved for a project.  5% by the county, 5% by the state and 90% by the FAA.

Welfare, grants, subsidies, useless politically correct elitist nonsense, language abuse and emptiness of words - how could I agree?

A new proof of God

Within a 24 hour period, I survived the bee up my nose and the bat in my bedroom. On the one hand  allergic to stings of any kind and on the other, friendly to helpful bats, I must report that swishing the bee buzzing in my hair and then whizzing it out of my nose - without incident - definitely proves there is a God.  I could then go on to fill 28 pints of honey from a productive hive. Catching the bat in a one-shot swing of a net from the man of the house and freeing it onto our porch was a no-brainer. Rarely  leaving one's property can provide endless excitement, no matter what outside travelers, vacationers and wanderers say.

A JOKE

IT'S JUST A JOKE, A JOKE, A HOCUS-POCUS POLITICAL PLOY, THE CALL FOR AN  "ENHANCED BACKGROUND CHECK."  THINK ABOUT IT; USELESS ACTION JUST TO DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING. WHO BUT A JOKER COULD DREAM IT UP?

PERHAPS A CRY-IN DAY WOULD BE MORE EFFECTIVE TO BRING AWARENESS OF THE USELESS SLAUGHTER AND DEPRAVITY THAT HAS INVADED SOME YOUNG MEN IN AMERICA. LORD KNOWS WE COULD NEVER HAVE A NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER.

What's a sonnet?

Glenn Beck took triple meds this AM before he analyzed the meaning of Emma Lazarus' sonnet "The Great Colossus," written for the Statue of Liberty.  He did a masterful job.  Students and adults alike ought to learn how to appreciate the poetic form of a sonnet and the greatness of this woman's work.  "Imprisoned lightning" and "yearning to breathe free" are just two inspired phrases in Emma's poem.  Iambic pentameter and Shakespearean rhyme simply underscore her "mother of exiles" message, putting to rest any notion that America is a racist nation.  Immigrants who landed on a strange shore, depended upon themselves for their exercise of freedom and pursuit of happiness.

And how far has America come as a nation of immigrants?  Many of our citizens participate in the $150 billion-a-year global video game industry watching players online, drawing advertising dollars and subscriptions.  As a child of an immigrant, I proudly admit I have no clue to the meaning or content of the industry I just described.  But, thanks to Emma, some immigrants have gone down one path and others have diverged to take a different way - the way it should be.

It's a good time to read a great sonnet and enjoy!

Apology

Oh no, I must make an apology.  The cat did NOT eat my 2 pieces of paper.  I found them attached to a piece of corn I hastily threw into a refrigerator crisper.  Shame, shame on me - not the cat. But I did prove I received my refund for 'bad' tempura chicken.

"Screw your courage to the sticking place."  Who could say it better than Shakespeare?  If you see the truth, read the truth, arrive at the truth, must you not screw your courage to the foundation of truth?  J.D. Vance converted to Catholicism.  Hurray!  Another brave soul testifying to the truth.

Speaking of which ( truth and courage) the call to arms now by politicians against guns reeks from a rotting body of lies. Glenn Beck who took extra meds this morning,  spelled out the  data (truths) behind the a subject of  gun use and gun abuse, behind the numbers of those killed and those saved.
And while you try to turn your attention against the latest, cultural insanity,  root for our Simone Wiles to win an upcoming, gymnist championship.

The cat ate it

The excuse that "the dog ate my homework," seems apropo today because I looked and looked and looked for my folded up shopping list and receipt from the grocery store to no avail until I realized, YES, my cat who gnaws on and eats plastic bags, must have also consumed both pieces of paper. Senility is not yet on my table.  But I did hear a politician (without principles of course) say about gun violence:  "What more can we do locally on a state and local level?"  We could metaphorically, 'evaporate politicians.'

Now that the wicked witch of Epstein is dead, his ghost will haunt politicians to "do something, anything," on the suspicious issue of his demise. No matter, that the devil already has welcomed him into his fold.

Sports talk

"They better both fricken play," typifies sports talk. Or this gem: "That'll put a big ribbon on this one."  Enthusiasm runs so high in sports enthusiasts, they cannot  engage their brains before they open their mouths. Do we excuse this as just passion?  Well, business ads also slaughter English grammar and logic when stating that "We're growing forward." My pet peeve about use of language and abuse of meaning is constantly pricked when I listen to such nonsense. Yes, passion explains leftist insanity, rampage stabbings, gun violence, Democrat political insults and each person's innate pursuit of freedom. BUT

Things have gone too far to the extreme. The center cannot hold.  What is the center? What is the 'golden mean?'  No number of overbearing laws can fix the problem. Humans are flawed.  You can't say that about any other creature without a divine soul can you?  One of my fish just expired. Why am I sad over such a beautiful, orange, useless creature?

Is truth free?

I can't wait to tell you that truth will not set you free.  Saying anything, doing something and accomplish nothing summarizes behavior from the Democrat left today.  Mayors, politicians, mis-guided do-gooders and ordinary citizens fall into the feelings trap after tragedy.  Did you know that 3 comfort dogs are available to help reduce blood pressure after the tragedy in Dayton?  Did you know that 2 more people were wounded in gun violence in Columbus, Ohio last night?  Did you know that you could visit a pet adoption shelter to feel better by petting homeless puppies and kittens?  The 2nd did-you-know is a fact but the other buttressed statements are simply leftist garbage masquerading as helpful hints.  So truth will not set you free.  Monsters from the deep minus their moral consciences will  keep killing  the innocent. The truth will hurt you with its deep pain and encourage your instinct to hunker down below the radar so as not to be pointed out at a rational person.

Good news - 8 naked ladies poked up their pink, pretty heads this AM. A triumph for one without a green thumb.

How to solve problem

How could we solve problem of mass shootings and misbehavior? At least in the long run... Put the 10 commandments back into our schools and homes!   On which commandment should we focus? Well, here's the rub.  There are 10 - and all seem to be targets.  Lies, murder, adultery, theft, and blasphemy of all that's good; you get the idea.  So I hear that 1/2 of mental health issues begin before age 14. I hear that 1/5 of Americans are affected with mental health or learning disorders.  Lies. I hear that the "exit ramp, excuse me entrance..."  I hear "excuse me 33 south" (another announcer's misspeak).  I hear that "he's on VAC."  (Translation vacation).  I heard about the "sells process."  (Translation, sales).  Examples of no thought before speech.  I hear that Congress needs to take action. How can Congress deal with gun control in the real world when it (Congress) is literally detached from reality?

Theft of thought and/or goods, disregard for human life, lies, murder, obscenity, improper parenting, disrespect for authority and NO fear of the Lord's consequences.  With this reality check we should 'see' that the  emblazoned 10 commandments are now lacking in our schools (and many homes).  If we stare at our broken moral compass, what action should we anticipate?

Good new today.  After 17 years of silence, I finally have a wisteria shouting out 3 of its blue, blazing home-grown blooms.

EVEN ON THE NET

Even on the NET its not worth reading any news. So depressing.  A Muslim cuts the throat of a loose calf, a drunk semi driver wipes out a group of motorcyclists, Macy's holds a quiet sales day for autism during which helpers are on hand in a soothing space to assist customers for back-to-school purchases.  Didn't parents of autistic students ( an oxymoron, by the way) ever hear of Goodwill, Volunteers of America, Ohio Thrift, Salvation Army, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart or a local yard sale to find clothing selections if in NEED?  Blessed are the poor in spirit for you can hardly find one poor soul nowadays.

Ridiculous

"It's how ridiculous a great pair of boots can cost." So says Glenn Beck, hawking another sponsor of his radio show.  He'll say anything with bad grammar for a buck.  Also, a hair salon rep says a mother sending 3 or 4 kids to school could spend $20 on one haircut.  She says anything for a buck without a reality check.  Who has 3 or 4 kids nowadays lining up for haircuts?  Who spends $hundreds of dollars on school supplies? Why can't a parent afford a backpack?  Nonsense. A politician says, "More funding is just common sense."  More nonsense.

The Ohio State Fair judges 700 gilts.  No nonsense about this fact. Hogs ( and hogwash) dominate our culture.

Almost 28 years

Almost 28 years on  death row and our 'esteemed' Governor postpones his execution. Why? Don't we all know no 'swift and sure punishment' exists in our justice system?  A radio ad's spokesperson mentions a worker "punching the clock."  Don't we all do that at work now?  Cory Booker says he has "done that not just in actions but deeds."  Don't we all act out our actions?  Duh!  Don't we all check out auto repairs on the Web as a commercial for a car repair business suggests?  Irrational, unrealistic, unbelievable stupid comments - all.  I missed both debates due to NO cable.  How lucky can I get?  Unlucky enough, however, to still maintain perfect hearing.

I hear Dennis Prager has hit 71 years young. Similar in age to President Trump. Getting older should not be frightening right?  Wrong.
