The Parent Project

Did you know the Parent Project was developed  by law enforcement and parents, and has been around nationally for 30 years?  My Gosh, what has been their success rate?  Zero if we judge by the lack of parenting and results thereof in our culture today.  Supposedly numerous academic studies consistently show significant improvement in parental knowledge and skills in reducing destructive behavior of kids and an increase expresssion of love in the home.  Blah, Blah... don't believe what you read in a newspaper. How much is it costing us taxpayers to fund this failure?  Our local judge says if we can make a difference for just a few families, it will be worth it."  First problem is that 'families' no longer exist.  If they did, there would be no need for the Parent Project.

Who parented the 19 yr. old who shot up the synagogue last week?

Another life

13,000 runners descended on Columbus, Ohio over the weekend to run, walk or crawl through a number of marathons. What kinds of people would do this?  I haven't a clue. Theirs is an other lifestyle.  I know whoever raised the Jew killer John Ernest must also have lived an alternative lifeline to one with morals and a conscience.  Otherwise, how did this monster come to be?  Every time there is some abominable killing by some abominable, young male,  the news reports the "suspect is in custody"and the "investigation is ongoing." Let me hear from you as to how to handle the suspect and how best to serve justice and cancel an investigation that need not be ongoing.

Same ole governorship

Same ole power hungry and do-good acts from our nanny Governor DeWine. He established a Permanent Distracted Driving Council to promote more education and stronger and stricter rules on distracted driving.  Oh please,  give me a break. From his do-good bureaucracy we can anticipate NO beneficial use of taxpayers' monies.
Weeks of buildup up for the 1st round playoff hockey game from our local team. They lost.
Biden is in; I'm thankful my laughter will add seconds, minutes, days or weeks to my lifeline. Thanks Joe, you are a laughing stock.
Two power outages from too much wind and rain; it's depressing.
Beautiful flowering trees in this Spring season give testimony to intelligent design.

Easter Is

                            Easter Is
                           Love! IHS!
                           INRI! died
                              For sin!
Pain and Anguish unto Detumescent Death!
                          Humanity
                            Reviled!
                            Divinity
                           Revealed!
                            Sadness
                          Replaced!
                             Arisen
                            For me,
                          Unworthy!
                          Alleluia!

"Easter Worship" the phrase put out as the left liberal talking point does not represent the meaning of the No. 1 celebration of the Christian calendar.   We worship God NOT Easter.  Deliberate ignorance on parade designed to denigrate the meaning of words and the ultimate miracle.

Happy & Sad

HAPPY EASTER! Also an unsettling distress for the martydoms of hundreds of Catholics in Sri Lanka. I'd say pray for them  but ready or not, He called them home for whatever His 'reason.'

Kill political correctness

Who will or when will America kill political correctness?  Kate Smith' rendition of "God Bless America" has been removed as a musical interlude at the 7th inning stretch of  Yankee games because she sang a racist song in 1931( "That's why darkies where born".)  No matter the song is a satire.  No matter that a communist friend, Paul Robeson, of everything politically correct on the left, ALSO sang this song.  Double standards, hypocrisy and cowardice should also be on the list for extermination. That would ostensibly eliminate the left.  Hurrah! Don't be  t on it.

Raliohio

RALIOHIO - another clever acronym  for a stupid government sponsored program to fight the opioid (drug) epidemic. More money down the pit of social conscience when a conscience is what's lacking for most of the drug addicts who violate themselves.  To a brighter radio note, I heard that a local women's sports' team ( I'm oblivious)  is "breaking the  national image for the city (Columbus." Verbal nonsense again.  We enter today the most sacred weekend of the year for Catholics. More inquiring minds should investigate our rationale.

Don't rebuild

Again I say don't rebuild. With the Twin towers I said just  use the cross that survived the disaster as  the core for a simple monument to 9/11. Now, again,  why not use the white cross on the altar of Notre Dame Cathedral  that survived the disastrous fire as the core of a memorial which could also include the restored rose window. Simple religious elegance.

Not into egotism or the inauthentic,  I reject what I heard from Arthur C. Brooks this morning as he transitions to a Professor at Harvard.  He admits he is in "a mission field,"  as a conservative I guess.  He constantly refers to a  " having a conversation" about this and that. Meaningless buzz words as far as I'm concerned especially from someone whose mind  cannot keep up with the speed of his wor   ds.

Say nothing

Don't know how you pronounce his last name, Buttigieg,  but I do know Pete has mastered the art of saying nothing.  "The moment that we're in is kind of illegible in giving us  much insight on what comes next, " he said.  "That really will be decided by what happens now.  That's one of the reasons I wanted to get in."  I'll get in too if all I have to do is open my mouth and let sounds signifying nothing come out. "It's true as ever that you've got to appeal to independents, but it's not less true than ever before that ideological centrism ..."  Blah, blah!  How did this  gay, empty head become mayor of South Bend?  How a mighty river has fallen.

Not one choice

If you die, three choices exist for your remaining earthly loved ones. 1. Conventional burial  2. Cremation with a memorial urn  3. A scattering garden?  Who knew?

A local greenhouse is now having a '"schrubaganza."  Who knew?

God knew that Tiger Woods' determination, hard work and courage would pay off by finally winning the Masters again.  Well, at least Somebody knew.

Kudos

I could not believe it! Marvelous! The most exciting news in a long time!  Tiger Woods won the Masters!  Kudos to him.  I would never have believed he could make this comeback! As the little prince said, "One never knows."  Onward I hope for Tiger. Behind the scenes of celebration, however, the game of idiocy continues to play out in the political sphere. A reporter said that  Pete B... spoke at his Presidential rally, "off the cuff of his head." Enthusiasm ran so high, apparently, thought flew out of the journalist's head.  Never would this happen to the Big O. The I of his world is always focused on himself.

Jerk

I say he's  a 'jerk' who leaves a fish to die even though it is not illegal.I 'd take an Oscar.
I say the new OSU football coach Ryan Day is a bright as his players when he says, "We have to play with some tempo."  I say a claim to a "true lifetime warranty" from a company just insults its  competition who obviously offers a 'false lifetime warranty.' Instead, I say think about feeding a 'pet' squirrel.  Contrary to anyone using short-cut words and slang language on social media via the internet, will never know what it means to 'commiserate with nature.'  I'll take a commiseration with nature, my cat or my life-long lover anytime.

Grover Wilcox

I dare you to meet him - Grover Wilcox in his book, "Nobody's Boy," a misnomer because he is somebody's boy, HIS boy.  Check it out and be prepared to be changed.  Now back to the nonsense of the day. "We feel really good of ourselves."  Does this ignorant statement refer to the winners of the NCAA Tournament, Virginia?  No way, just another brilliance from a coach of one of our local sports' teams.   Texas Tech will need (justifiably)  to riot again because they  LOST the NCAA.  Welcome to the modern world.

More nonsense

In a Pepsi ad for Pepsi 0 sugar,  "Taste what it is like to have it all." Have it all with 0, nothing in the bottle?

For a premium muesli cereal with a tropical mix of dried date & cranberry pieces, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, dried sweetened mango pieces, coconut chips, almonds, crushed pecans and dried raspberries ( and rolled oats, of course), the disclaimer on the box says " contains coconuts, almonds, pecans, may contain wheat, peanuts, milk, soy and other tree nuts."

Madness in advertising? Nothing, however, can compare to the sheer madness of Chris Hedges who we heard spew hatred, Marxism, and emotional entreaties to revolt, to resist, to take on power and the corporate oligarchy that is American imperialism.  He supports the marginalized everywhere including the most oppressed peoples. Chris, do you fight for us white, conservative Christians - the most oppressed and persecuted citizens in America?   Don't bet on it.

Warning, warning

On an Armour all-beef hot dog package, I read this: "Kids safety: when serving hot dogs to young children, cut hot dogs lengthwise, then cut into small, easy-to-swallow pieces. Children should eat while seated and be under adult supervision." What nanny was responsible for this warning?

Just talked with my Mennonite friend with (now) 9 grandchildren. One son has 4 young children under 8. How do they do it withdrawn from our do-good nanny world? Certainly mom and dad will never have a trans gender coming out party I read about today. Sick vs. well people fill our world.

White and dirty

Are not all politicians ( for. ex. Joe Biden)  white and dirty?  Corrupt politics is boring compared to more examples of the slaughter of English and reason heard each AM.  A local nursery sells "natural and organic products." Pray tell, are not all plants natural?  A basketball commentator talks about a "windshield wiper game? Back and forth to a luddite like me.  An ED fixer business says they will 'do it' with "focused linear compression therapy."  I leave this to your imagination, men. Lastly, a talk show host says the "rain is going to have trouble getting to the ground," tomorrow. Lordy! I abhor the slaughter of anything so precious as our English language.  However, we have been borrowing words and changing our lexicon for thousands of years; why should I be surprised?  Ditto for corruption in politics.

More outrage

It's come down to this - a long disclaimer for a car wash business offering 2 coupons for $32.99.

It's come to this from a business, Patriot Software that has a "cash to accrual toggle switch."

It's come down to an 11 cent gas tax here in Ohio because there's no money to fix roads.

Nothing makes common sense. Even my beloved Chicago of the past just elected a black, gay woman as mayor.  It's come down to this. Luckily one can look backward but not go home again.

Luckily, it's come to this too - Lenten lunches and dinner galore at local churches.

More slaughter

More examples of slaughter of language or common sense. "Be the person you're born to be, get a food storage kit." ? From a radio talk show host. "Time is kinda pinchy" ? From a sports commentator.  "Warning, geese are aggressive when protecting their young."  ? Nanny on the radio. Finally, a news flash.  White Castle is now selling VEGE  burgers. ?  What has happened to my America? "We have sunk to such a depth that the restatement of the obvious has become the first duty of intelligent men."  George Orwell 1939.

MORE questions

Is the movie "Unplanned" just preaching to the choir?
Are 1/4th of Ohio's children living in poverty?
Will the Safe Streets Initiative in Columbus be effective?
Is 100 million dollars necessary to help poor women pay for diapers?
Duh, Duh, Duh.Duh. Who can believe in any good or truth today?
1. Pro choice women will continue to selectively remain blind.
2. Politics plays its ugly, lying game again with words like poverty.
3. Policemen on bicycles is about as ludicrous as no guns in the hands of criminals.
4. Liberal Democrat women want to score do-good points picking winners and losers.

So much of what is listed above is also found in the diapers.

And then, why are racehorses breaking their legs at Santa Anita race track? A fifth question without an answer designed to ruin your day.
