For birdie or for worse.
President Obama’s golf game Sunday forced U.S. Army captains Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr. to relocate their wedding ceremony.
The lovebirds were set to wed Sunday at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, located on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, until they learned Obama had his eye on the same course and they would need to find a new spot for their nuptials.
“In less than 24 hours they had to change everything they had planned,” the groom’s sister told Bloomberg News.
Instead, they held the ceremony on green lawn on the base that offered views of the Pacific coastline.

The President has spent nine days in Hawaii for his holiday break.
He has golfed six times so far.

            HAPPY NEW YEAR
Here’s one of Bronson Alcott’s ‘Orphic Sayings’ from the early 19th century: “Engage in nothing that cripples or degrades you. Your first duty is self-culture and self-exaltation; you may not violate this high trust…”

Does this not a portend words of a future oracle, Ayn Rand?  Self interest first; else all is lost of value in your life. Our Obama takes this to heart with immoral behavior. Moral Americans do not.

Merry Christmas

            Merry Christmas

Keep it short and sweet because in 1828, Eliza Farrar observed that Americans excelled in verbal “fluency,” but few had trained themselves to become “correct and methodical thinkers,” and many were given to “careless and thoughtless volubility.”  Obviously nothing has changed.  Merry Christmas, 2014.

No gluten Nuts

No gluten

The latest torture from the liberals is to be beaten with the “staff of life” - bread. Yes, gluten is a no, no.  Beat gluten down and out of the majority of normal people for the sake of the few with true celiac disease.  Sound familiar?  We are being beaten daily by nutrition faddists whipping up hysteria about gluten, a food that supports life (and has for 1000’s of years) until …

Fat, sugar and salt – junk foods or just foods?

            Triple play
Fat, sugar and salt – junk foods or just foods? Liberal nannies say no, no, no to our enjoying them, but gourmet (and popular) restaurants that they patronize ( think for ex. Congress), cannot create flavor and appeal without including this triple threat into their menus. Yes, our triple threat is their triple play, hypocrisy all the way to their stomachs.

And since I’m on outrage, what’s your opinion of the latest payout by government to study “sentinel injuries” to children?  These are signs of abuse ( often oral) that  must be noted. Language alone from political do-gooders should discredit them.

Notice that the lefties spend a lot of time trying to keep part of the populace riled up, and the rest of the populace embarrassed and apathetic. I wonder what would happen if the balance-of-anger were reversed? Their fear and hatred of the Tea Party suggests that they’d find that catastrophic.

It’s insanity.

Don Boudreaux
No one in their right mind would trust Barack Obama (or Elizabeth Warren or Chuck Schumer or John McCain or Lindsey Graham or… the list of officious ignoramuses is long) to perform cardiovascular surgery on their children or even to replace the garbage disposals in their kitchens, yet we trust these very same buffoons with extensive powers to intervene into the economy.  It’s insanity.

A politician, when motivated by benevolence, will tend to favor his family, his friends, members of his party, inhabitants of his region or country (and this whether or not he is democratically elected).  Such benevolence will not necessarily redound to the public good.  And when politicians are motivated by self-interest unalloyed by benevolence, it is easy to see that the results may be even less satisfactory.

Delay law exams because…

Delay law exams because…
Do we delay law exams because ivy league students at Columbia or Harvard are disturbed by the recent killings of a couple blacks by white policemen? Yes, they do.  Now ‘we value nothing as highly today as we do displays of emotion and pique,’ says a commentator on this reality.  Add pique (insult) to emotion, mix slowly into youthful hormones and what do you get?  Irrational violence and counterproductive advocacy. Yep.  Youth is too often wasted on the young.

Our gang

            Our gang

Jesse James, Al Capone, Billy the Kid, the Bloods, the Black Panthers, ………..   - were these gangs?  No they were shooters and their associates, so says our 2014 redesigned, politically correct, liberally directed news media.  Yes, I heard about a local school shooter and his “associates” finally detained after an incident.  It’s not the wild west of gangs and desperados; rather it’s the wild left dictating our use of language and thought.

Illegal Immigrants Now Eligible for Earned Income Tax Credit – Thank you Obama

Illegal Immigrants Now Eligible for Earned Income Tax Credit – Thank you Obama

President Obama’s unilateral executive action on immigration will make hundreds of thousands, perhaps more than a million, illegal immigrants eligible for federal transfer payments. That will be done primarily through two widely used programs — the Earned Income Tax Credit, or EITC, and the Additional Child Tax Credit, or ACTC.
As it turns out, those two programs are already among the most corrupt and fraud-ridden in the entire federal government. A newly-released report from the inspector general of the Internal Revenue Service confirms that the EITC is plagued by fraud (which was already well known) and also reveals for the first time that the ACTC is even worse.

NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, PURELY A PRECAUTION: Treasury Department Seeking Survival Kits For Bank Employees; Emergency masks, solar blankets to be delivered to every major bank in the U.S. “It is not clear why the Treasury Department is ordering the kits. Contracts for survival kits are usually made for the military, or law enforcement such as the FBI.”
The survival kits must come in a fanny-pack or backpack that can fit all of the items, including a 33-piece personal first aid kit with “decongestant tablets,” a variety of bandages, and medicines.
The kits must also include a “reusable solar blanket” 52 by 84 inches long, a 2,400-calorie food bar, “50 water purification tablets,” a “dust mask,” “one-size fits all poncho with hood,” a rechargeable lantern with built-in radio, and an “Air-Aid emergency mask” for protection against airborne viruses.
Survival kits will be delivered to every major bank in the United States including Bank of America, American Express Bank, BMO Financial Corp., Capitol One Financial Corporation, Citigroup, Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Company, and Wells Fargo.
Items will also be delivered to OCC offices across the country, from Champaign, Ill. to Billings, Mont. The agency also has offices in Sioux City, Iowa; Joplin, Mo.; and Fargo, N.D.
The mission of the OCC is to “ensure that national banks and federal savings associations operate in a safe and sound manner, provide fair access to financial services, treat customers fairly, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.”
The agency has roughly 3,814 employees, each of which would receive a survival kit. The staff includes “bank examiners” who provide “sustained supervision” of major banks in the United States.

“Pants up; don’t loot.”

Actually, many blacks have never been down for the struggle (except for wearing their pants down). Some clever person recently put a sign over an overpass: “Pants up; don’t loot.” This tells us that except for falling britches, too many blacks have never been down for the struggle.  If they had, since the 1960’s (for over 50 yrs.) under Pres. Johnson’s great welfare society initiative, they would have struggled to not accept welfare, struggled to sacrifice by putting budgeted foods on their tables, struggled to look for work or take any menial job rather than government money from their fellow citizens, struggled to educate themselves in schools despite poor teachers or curricula, struggled to restrain themselves from crime, struggled to maintain respect for the law ( even under unjust conditions), struggle to keep out of jail, struggled to keep the commandments of  God.  No, today the buzz word is ‘relationships,’ an appealing but meaningless word from leftist, liberal propaganda designed to deflect attention from the genuine problem  - the struggle for to lead a better life.

Whittaker Chambers

“I am a man who is very reluctantly and grudgingly, step by step, destroying myself so that this nation and the faith by which it lives  may continue to exist.  It is not a role I would have chosen for myself.  I am merely doing the job as I see it.  Someone, some way, had to come along and lift off the lid.  Someone had to say ‘This is what is inside.’  The man who lifts the lid has to testify just as much against himself  as against everyone else.  I just seem to be able to stand the ordeal.”

“modernized and right-sized”

Allah Akbar!  Our fight against ISIS must be “modernized and right-sized” according to the spokesman for Obama.  Strike one for insanity from the White House due to its convoluted language.  Strike two for insanity, a rider was attached to a bill to fight ISIS that expands wilderness land in the West.  Strike three? Use your demonic imagination.

$75 per individual per day, for four months.
According to documents obtained by Judicial Watch, that’s how much the federal government is paying for the housing, food and needs of thousands of illegal aliens who crossed into the United States this summer, at just two military bases. The documents show that the federal government’s Department of Health and Human Services has paid an eye-popping $186,129,786 to the Baptist Children and Family Services for four months of care for thousands of illegal aliens, at a time when Democrats complain of government “austerity.”
Judicial Watch obtained the documents through a Freedom of Information Act request.
The documents show that the government has spent $86,846.34 per child at Ft. Sill, OK, since the surge of illegal crossings earlier this year, for a total of $104,215,608 for the 1,200 unaccompanied children housed at that base alone. HHS also paid out $77,914,178 to care for 1,200 unaccompanied children who are housed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. That’s just two bases covered in the documents. The government has housed illegal aliens, many but not all children, at numerous points in many communities around the country. The costs included in these documents only cover federal spending, not local or state spending as school districts around the country take in thousands of illegal alien kids.
The documents also show that the Obama administration expects the surge to continue up to September of 2016, near the end of Obama’s presidency. That is when the contract, which began in October 2013, ends.

The costs include providing “multicultural crayons” to children at Ft. Sill, along with cell phones including international calling capabilities, “laptop kits,” board games, soccer balls and much more.

government is no more trustworthy

Conservatives should learn that government is no more trustworthy, knowledgeable, and noble when doing things conservatives like than when doing things “progressives” like.

            No Black Friday

Black Friday was not dark but BRIGHT. At the clip of 3 a second, the FBI processed gun checks for citizens’ applications for firearms. Yes!  Who knew the ‘real’ story behind the headlines and biased media that people worry about conditions in America under Obama?  Also, truck purchases were up 20% in November due to falling gas prices.  Who knew the ‘real’ story that Americans are not stupid?
