Memory Day

 Memorial day prompts us to remember our nation's fallen soldiers. from all of our wars. Not veterans. Not heroes who still live. Not those who somehow survived  a war. Not Tom's poor dad who succumbed to illness after WWII. Not prisoners released alive. And yes, I will never forget to appreciate the time, talent and sacrifice of the men and women  who served our country. 

Another Dr. visit

Just  what one needs - another Dr. visit for refill of med and another complaint. The nerve in hip. The inability to stand up for any length of time. The depression to accompany pain. What to do?  Dr recommends specialist analysis and recommendations. I recommend Lexapro again. My mind and body have crumpled into senescence and I hate both of them. Overactive mind and overweight body do not make a happy couple. Why must life go on?  FOR GOD'S SAKE. 

No anthropomorphism please

Animals are NOT beings with feelings and thoughts akin to humans. You would never know it to watch videos of  animal interactions interpreted by humans as human. I like animals, companions potentially all,  but for pit bulls. Since our culture does not sufficiently value human life, I reject no kill shelters, foster homes for disabled animals, the concept of forever homes at humane societies and catch, neuter, spay and release into the wild programs. We need more caring parents to foster more caring adults. Have you noticed a serious deficiency in the value of human life in our society at every turn of the news?    

Twice over

 Twice over at Mass we both went maskless without incident. For the past 10 days wherever we shop we go maskless. Having both had the Covid shots  (irrespective of the fact I had the Covid starting Feb 22, 2019), we intend to persevere because it's the right thing to do. Mother's Day meant flowers for me but the rain and wind precludes my hanging the baskets onto hangers outside. Booho! The 4 swarms hanging about in the rain and chill will probably ALL die. Boohoo!

Something terrible seen...

 Give mother a gift "for always putting everything else 1st." Yes, this is what I heard on the radio today. Another abomination of language and logic. BUT the outrage of the day occurred in California (where else?) after seeing a racist, insulting and abusive teacher (no less)  misuse a Mexican cop for stopping her and giving her a ticket for driving with her phone in hand. Just enforcing the law, he says.  Have a nice day from him; you are a murderer and never will be white from her. I bet she makes superintendent. Oh God, good thing you will administer just punishment to her because just reward for the cop's civility and tolerance will not be rewarded. 

Another abomination

As you know I have a thing about terrible radio advertising.  Prostituting for the almighty dollar is par for the course. But calling on me as a global citizen? Calling on me to donate blood because "there's purpose in your plasma?" The stupid, deceptive, dishonest and outright falsehoods on the radio pass for product ads and government infomercials.
