Useless FDA

Here's another brilliance from a soccer coach.  "We have to understand who we are." The fact that they (soccer team) are not winning enough games might have something to do with no knowing how to play?   The FDA will use new tools to fight the abuse of Opioid.  Do you want to know how?  1. New dosage forms. 2. Small quantity packaging. 3. New research requirement for drugmakers  Can't you see each and every druggie ( or potential druggie) pitching that pill or pills out the car window as soon as they realize the FDA is helping them beat the opioid attraction?

Poor Nancy Reagan.  "Just say no," wasn't good enough them, not good enough now.

Hockey

A-Fib, on the verge of fainting at all times, high LDL and cholesterol - equals my condition.  'Sickofit' and ready to quit this mortal toil.  I heard that Columbus, Ohio hockey has been attended since Valentine's day by 12,000 18,000, 23,000 and a record-breaking 31,000 attendees. Beats me why. Obsession takes various forms and our local Crew is a example.  A spokesperson today said his team needs to be "true to our identity."  Who knows what this means?  Who knows what tickets cost for their games?  Not me. Who knows what constitutes the appeal of a night out for this sport? Not me. Who knew my health would collapse without warning?  Not me.

Cohen's testimony - you ask my opinion?  Others have already rendered that he is a "lying piece of s...." This I know and I'm  'sickofit.'

BOONDOGGLES

What is a boondoggle? Is it that 1/2 of first responders on 9/11 suffer lingering (and permanent) health effects from their work at the Twin Towers? Thus they need unlimited compensation? Or is it that young people between 28 and 24 now have $1 trillion dollars in debt mainly from student loans and secondarily from mortgages. Thus they need help?  Something funded with no real value like busy work is a boondoggle.  Virtually everything the government pays for qualifies as a waste of money.  Truth or consequences be darned in the doing.

How can we remedy this. Darned if I know.  I would never accept funds based upon a fraudulent  claim. I'm a vote for killing all the greedy lawyers. I'm a vote for being neither a borrow or lender.  Shakespeare and I are friends.

DeNitwit

Our newly elected Governor DeWine has just nitwitted himself to his constituents. To save GM from releasing hundreds of employees from the Chevy Cruz plant ( for whatever reasons the company deems fit and proper) DeWine is willing to offer state money and state resources to avoid the closing and protect jobs. I heard a nitwit selling out his taxpayers!  We must foot the bill for an expensive bail out that violates the free market system?  I don't think so.  New York tried incentives to wealthy Amazon for a plant and you know how that turned out.  The leftist's upside down version of reality put a stop to that potentially lucrative gift to New York.  Our nitwit DeWine thinks his state's money and resources can buy GM off.  Cost effectiveness and theft are 3 words DeWine has eliminated from his vocabulary as a result of his being a career politician, a power-hungry politician, a misguided and perhaps greedy man.

Shakespeare got it right about first killing all the lawyers; politicians are second in line today.

AOC, you fool!

Eliminate the the combustion engine?  Are you a fool AOC?   In Columbus, Ohio alone,  18% of tax revenue comes from car dealerships.  45,000 jobs depend on the automobile.  750 car dealerships dot the landscape. Case closed for green energy.

I admire a clever turn of phrase. ED can be cured ( according to one ad) by "focused linear compression therapy."  Reading a war memoir, the writer cleverly states the soldiers  would now "smudge the purity of our record books." Needless to day they end up in the brig. Now that printed words in a book are being replaced by hand-held devices with small-screen displays, we Luddites must hold out for massaging well-worn manuscripts of bygone days.  How sweet the smell!

Testosterone

I can't do two things at one. Talking,  music or noise in the background counts as an obstacle to my  writing, reading or thinking.  But here are two thoughts unimpeded.  Commercials to boost testosterone are ubiquitous. They, of course, lie. Commercials for cars and trucks also lie. A Hundai ad today ( and yesterday and the day before yesterday (claims you will be "driving for better."  This is not just a lie, but a meaningless lie.  Better is a comparative adjective;  to what are we comparing driving a Hundai?  Bashing competitors is in vogue with local radio's commercial advertising.  Have you noticed? Someone 'else' is out to scam you or cheat you.  Not if you are 'driving for better.'

Two years out from 2020's Presidential election we live in a climate of liberal, progressive and socialist lies and deception. All things are possible. Printing money will solve the problem of spending on free stuff for everyone. Debt and deficits are irrelevant. Unfortunately, we will suffer the consequences of  NEVER being able to be  free from political ads and lies.

Jussie's Justice not just blind

Justice is just not blind.  She's just not dead.  She's been mummified. Jussie Smollet (being black) gets a pass on racism by being charged with just a felony for disorderly conduct. Justice, being mummified, can't fix injustices in our American judicial system.  Try this second example. Some liberal, do-gooder leftie proposes a bill to make stiffer penalties for passing a school bus. THIS IS TERRIBLE STUFF, RIGHT?   A $1000 fine and 2 yr. suspension of driving privileges.  Can't you see more people who can't get to work at the unemployment office as a result of this punishment?  Common sense traditionally occupied 1/2 of justice's scale along with truth.  Not anymore.

Ever hear of Campdrafting?  A sensational cattle herding sport in north east Australia.  Check it out.

Capitalism

A San Diego Padres baseball player just signed a 10 yr. $300 million dollar contract.  Wow. This IS capitalism at work like it or not. I do not, but who am I to care about baseball? What I do care about is the 'sickofit' quality of nonsense in advertising.  A bank says it listens, listens to his customers, but not to its outside shareholders.  What?  Who keeps you in business you foolish bank?  You have no idea that the inherent self-interest of about capitalism and the free market determines monetary investments and speculations.  Your shareholders fund your customers, so to speak.

Shareholders suffer the slings and arrows of market fortunes. Speaking of warriors...

Wife beater at the dock

Pres, Obama is responsible for the wave of killing and violence because he said felonies could not be noted on job applications. Don't ask about police reports. If a felony could impact work, however, it might be considered by a employer, but a wife beater is NO danger to workers at the dock. Just let him go to work. We're just lost in America. The 9th circuit is at it again against Pres. Trump's executive order. We're just lost in America. A news report today shows how lost we are in America. Two women from a cat rescue operation, locked the trailer door and abandoned 25 cats and kitten to starve to death last year. They pleaded non-guilty, got a 10 day jail sentence, a small fine and suspended ......  If we weren't lost in America, such killers would have been jailed in the filthy, hot trailer for 30 days without food and water to ponder the definition of cruelty.

But we are lost in America now. We are lost in perversions of justice. Lost in the perversion of language. Food insecurity, for example, is an agenda-driven issue with no basis in reality.  My lovely cat is 'insecure' 4 times a day awaiting his treat, unsure of his assured delight. Love cats, please.

Lies

The Catholic Covington boys hoax,  Smollet's race crime, anything Sherrod Brown says, an ad from American Finance soliciting home loans ( with help with down payments) - all LIES.  Lies inspire laughs;  what else is possible?  Lake Erie has a right to protection for its ecosystem. According to Glenn Beck, X-Chairs makes a "buttload of chairs."  Our state Extension Service warns against too much chocolate on Valentine's day.  These examples and additional  ads and protestations on the news proliferate each day constitute "fake" news.  Actually fake news is just a dog whistle for lies.  America now is the land of the free and the home of people brave enough to create, defend and perpetuate lies.

How do we penetrate darkness to discover truth?  We could ask Aristotle or Martin Luther King, but dead men do not tell tales.

A murder

Regan Totes (? spelling) was murdered 2 (or 3?) years ago by a pig wearing a leg bracelet supposedly monitoring him after his release from prison for doing something dastardly.  He rapes, beats and murders young Regan, hides her body and finally the 'crime' is solved after years of publicity.  The poor family has had her name and disgrace dragged into the public sphere endlessly.  There have been a few laws to commemorate her passing.  To 'do something.'  Today I hear that some new bill or initiative will "fight" in her memory.  Oh please. Give  her a deserved rest.  Also, after some words regarding the latest bill, I hear there will be a "self-defense conference" as part of a new nonsense.

No I'm not stone-hearted.   I have felt for her family for the past years exposing her horrible ordeal and death and her killer's trial.  Her Godly soul cannot rest in peace.  No, 'they'  ( you know who) won't give have it.

Disgusting Portman

How demoralizing is it to have your own Republican senator grandstand like a phony Democrat?  Ron Portman wants to introduce a bill to save the crumbling, unkempt Ohio parks to the tune of $12 billion dollars. That's 8 billion more than the money allocated to Trump for a border 'wall.'  Pathetic. Pathetic too are the lies spewed forth for commercial consumer products on the radio. Try analyzing any ad word by word just for the fun of it. For example, an ad says buy with your values but never mentions what the values ARE..  An ad says he lived on fumes, was broke and then he started his  5th SUCCESSFUL company...

Valentine's day we pulled out our 15yr. old. $1.00 musical card, enjoying the cheery tune. Andre bubbly was refreshingly chilled. A documentary on the Potemkin building boom in China uplifted our spirits. America's trinity, however, liberty,  E pluribus unum, and In God we Trust, slowly tarnishes each day.

See the world

What does it mean to 'see' the world?  Travel physically or virtually? I choose the latter, but most 'woke' people choose the former. My grandson in the National Guard, has just been notified that he is being deployed to the Middle East in 9 months after proper preparation.  He has seen and will 'see' more of the world.  Other relatives I know, physically travel from America,  Germany and Australia to 'see' more of the world. I travel virtually to 'see' the Yucatan in Central America and numerous other destinations.   How do the two types of travel compare? In cost, no. In appreciation and excitement, yes.

A favorite quote:  "The trouble with following the herd is stepping in what it leaves behind."

How to serve?

Are you spending $162.00 on Valentine's Day this year? Food, gifts and/or whatnots? So says a survey. How tiresome is it hear about supposedly other people whose lifestyles differ from yours? In my local Dollar General, beautiful live roses of various colors were offered for $2.00 each. That's $24.00 a dozen.  Was I tempted?  Naw, in less than a week they'd wilt and the love and investment would be gone.  Are you also not tired of hearing someone claim that he ( Gabi Gifford's husband  Mark Kelly) wants to 'serve' his country by running for Congress?  Of course, only a Democrat wants to 'serve' (read rake in the bucks and political power).  Too many 'public servants' bankrupt this fine country already.  Too many 'servants' already demand extraordinary salaries and benefits ( via political position or Union power).

I say they serve like Milton who "only stand and wait," as witness to the will of God, not the will of greedy men.  Oh, and women.

How to serve?

Fear of doctors?

I bet there are many poor souls who have pathological fear of doctors and hospitals?  Me for one. Heart bounds, hands chill, toilet calls, blood races and friends counsel calm - to no avail.  The source, of course, is irrelevant; the cure              .

I note that the WSJ predominately profiles people in control of their lives, but then there are those who believe they can micro-manage every facets of their lives and manipulate reality.  Wonder and satisfaction apparently result from this self-centered stance.   Don't smart people  they know no one is in charge of his/her  destiny?  A  recent article in the WSJ about controlling your 'good' death never uses the relevant three letter word ( G O D ).   From my perspective the essay  was stupid and useless.  Was the journal, however, catering to their readers.  You bet.

Daily exercise

For daily exercise we 'run like Hell' whenever the word sports comes up on the radio news station.  For as many times a day as we choose to hear the 'news', we can also get our physical exercise bounding to the shut-off button.  Republicans, lend me your ears! Why nor usurp the left's Green Bill and introduce it as your own? Drive them crazy.  And speaking of driving someone crazy, I learned that Wu Zetian, a Chinese Empress in about 550 AD,  claimed fame by being a combination of "woman, means and moment."  Hers was a dynamic combination of  unscrupulousness, cruelty and power.  She reminds me of Nancy Pelosi. The cruelty attributed to Wu Zetian also shadows ( figuratively, in modern terms) the cruelties inflicted on America by the Speaker's leftist agenda.

Can't Republicans find a woman with the means ( common sense conservatism) to embrace the present moment?

Vomit

What is the Green New Deal?  Ans: The Democratic party's liberal/left vomit. You can never have enough of a commodity because its surplus will either be re-invented, used or discontinued.  Except for liberal vomit.  Its surplus will just be ingested by other liberal left green monsters.  OK, now to put this upchucked nonsense onto  the back burner and  guess the total market-cap change in billions of dollars since Dec. 24th, 2018 to the present day of the top 6 corporations in the U.S? Add up Facebook, Amazon.com, Alphabet (Google), Apple, Microsoft and Netflix.  $686.3 billion dollars. Whew! This is rise in value, not a fall.  Feed that to AOC and her Green team and watch them vomit for real.

When politicians never see the good in America, in ordinary people, in rich people, in unborn or  dying people, it's time for us to make sure that we continue to consume a healthy, uplifting diet of cultural conservatism.

Another 'right'

Add to the list of phony rights, the right to quality at work. Speaking of quality, most Americans noted that Trump presented a quality State of the Union speech.  "Dog poop" comments by a mean, blind Van Jones not withstanding.  So the President played the 'trump' card by championing women in the work place and the Congress at all time highs.  The women in white could not help standing, clapping and hi-fiving.  Then - a tribute to a holocaust survivor ( whose birthday was yesterday), rescued by another American soldier sat next to each other last night,  The moment inspired the kindness of a happy birthday song. Wow! Good instincts on display.

Ignore the silly laundry list of initiatives that cannot, should not, will not be implemented.

Justice

Jog in the mountains knowing they are inhabited with mountain lions.  Run, run, run. Catch that prey that runs. So a man was attacked, injured seriously, got away. I hope the same can be said for the cat. Justice serviced means he got what he deserved.  SOTU speech useless.  Two senior citizens who have nothing better to do are the only couple that should watch this political nonsense.

How do you identify ( immediately) an ideologue from the left, a person for whom feelings are their religion?   "The path to healing, " or "closure" say it all. Run like Hell.  Be the man trying ( and failing) to avoid the attack of the panther.

A-Fib

A-Fib What do you know about it? I have it along with high blood pressure  - with terrible consequences. On to meds? Who can help?

Local news tells me that loved ones this Valentine's Day will spend $161.96.  No they won't. Are we to believe that the news reporter reading copy which details this specific amount has any credibility?  $161.96. How do you arrive at this number?  I might recycle my used Valentine card for my sweetie, might light up my Dollar Tree rose, might share a bottle of champagne, but where do I need to spend $150, $160. $15. or $16. ?  How can any news source be credible? Love is not love that can be measured in dollars or $.96 cents.

Deserved?

What do you deserve? Perk up your ears and you will hear that you deserve almost everything: a living wage, intimacy, the return on your investment, health care, a home, a job, the best today and the American dream.  I've heard  each one of these unmerited entities touted as what YOU deserve.  Au contraire!  What you deserve, your just desert, comes from your effort which will gain merit. NOT an automatic boon.  I know one thing you don't deserve is a gay pride festival, now a signature event, like the one now a yearly institution at the Paris Disney Park in Paris, France.  I also know playing the victim card plays into the hands of a flawed philosophy that 'you didn't build that.'

The Puppy Bowl is coming ! Each puppy will try to win. Right? Who will deserve the prize? Who will merit 1st place?  Who will merely enjoy participating in the fun events though undeserving of a material reward?  No canine  bundle of love deserves anything until the games of competition are over.  Yet every puppy will happily have his day.  Don't you just admire our four-footed friends?

Free to choose

Born free - every human per se has been (is) free to choose.  Pro-choice nonsense is just that, non sense.  Pregnancy is a choice. Murder of a fetus is a choice. Who one chooses to associate with or live with is a choice. Food, friend, work, recreation, God (or no God) - each is a choice.  Do we really need this political and moral non-starter that a woman has a choice?  However, when is choice off the table? Yes, when choice is not ours. Yes, when choice is not ours to kill a child. Yes, we have no  choice to commit an evil act because but committing such an act contradicts an act of God. We cannot choose precedence over God.  A child conceived under any circumstances should be allowed to live - adopted out or embraced by the mother.  This fact is never a choice.

Speaking of a bad choice, a mother and her 3 children were killed in a house fire reported on the news with the addendum that her fiance "managed to escape."   Fiance is now a word to cover any live-in companion, any non father but it  portrays the bad choice made by a woman free to choose.
