Feeling better

My son with Covid is feeling better. I am not. 11 Marines and 1 Navy medic killed in Afghanistan today due to bombings in Kabul. No, we're not out of that country  yet.  How much do I care about a Muslim country?  Little.  Death should be considered something to be avoided, not celebrated. Yet I've followed too much suffering and death in Iraq and Afghanistan. Each dead person belonged to another live person; it's time for tears! 

A Covid victim

No he did not get vaccinated. When a co-worker contracted the Covid he kept on working. About 10 days later he got sick and sicker and sicker until he needed to remain home in bed (suffering) for a few days. As this saga unfolds I'll report back on how long it takes for the great worker (my son) to return to work.  

Not curious

What are you most curious about? Question to a female CEO. "I'm spiritually curious and always wonder if there is a deeper meaning or lesson in life events that is tied to a higher order influence.  The pandemic has been one of those events that I have pondered in this regard." No sense or nonsense?  Here's my answer. Why would consider entering outer space or other galaxies when this one world God created is so messed up and in need of 'spiritual' help? Curious but not hopeful. 

Lost brilliance

A brief comment on Christopher Hitchens:  such brilliance never to have come to God. The Devil owns him even now. He hated Ronald Reagan. He called Rush Limbaugh a fat fuck. Brilliant mind, speaker, thinker and wit BUT lost to the devil in spite of his gifts. So sad.  

Memorial day

August 13th, 1961 the Berlin wall went up in Germany; today August 13th, 2021 the Biden wall surrounds free people in America. All of our actions and thoughts are circumspect to the left who want to control our freedoms. Lies and deceit prevail. What's to celebrate?  How long will this last? 30 years seem too long a time to hold out hope. We rot from within the walls of Washington, schools & universities and the walls of government institutions. I'm for putting a wall around my life - oblivious to the outside world of our  corrupt culture. Be woke only to values and ideals I hold no matter what the outer world preaches. Whose to join me?  

Welfare pricing

OK here it is - from the farmer's market to health care and colleges and universities, when the Government pays for 'things' the prices sky rocket. This is welfare pricing because the recipient does not pay; 'welfare' from government pays. That's why sellers can charge more and buyers will pay more. It's disgusting. My local farmer's market proves this each and every week. EBT cards fly to the rescue of producers who can get higher prices than they would receive if no welfare were involved. It's disgusting.
