As usual

Not even the new year but three cuts, three bleedings from minor injuries - business for the accident prone as usual. What could a new year bring? Presents great, visitations went well, weather remained mild, wants are minimal, life of the sedentary and geriatric continues uninterrupted by the nonsense of the outside world. Happy New Year!

Christmas Message?

What can one say living in this brave new Biden land of cowardice and control?  Enjoy my angelic cat. Enjoy the love of my life. Enjoy my loyal children. Enjoy the expected carols at Christmas Mass. Refuse to acknowledge the Holiday Season which would not exist except for the Christmas 'story.' 

Is Santa real?

Regarding the question, Is Santa real. my answer is - who cares? What I care about is the problem of supposedly smart and educated people who worry over telling their children the truth or 'lie' that Santa is not real. How can intelligent (smart) people be so stupid?  Fantasy or fairy tales present no problem to children who can understand the difference between allegory and truth. Santa is a fiction to bring presents and cheer at Christmas time. It makes for fun. So how can an elite person or newspaper talk or print such nonsense? Who is really woke nowadays?    

Decency

Where has decency gone? I could write a long column on this, outdoing Peggy Noonan who should be 'allowed ' by the WSJ to relinquish her pen to a true conservative.  Decency has been blasted away by the left from the souls and spirits of youth as well as adults. How can Chris Cuomo's producer, solicit young girls? As a father, much less. Decency begins and ends with a decent man. Where have all the decent men gone? 

What?

 What is a "teardrop on the cheek of time?" I heard this phrase used in the context of a world heritage site, but the beauty and appropriateness of it struck me immediately. What is your answer to the proposition that a natural or supernatural entity could evoke a feeling of sadness transcending the short term? For one thing, I say the death of a good person, gone unnoticed but to God. Comings and goings of angels and visitations from God often go unnoticed. Questionings? Yes. Acceptance not so much.
