bloviating vulgarian ignoramus

It’s all about choices… do we champion a book and a brain, a library and a lab or do we continue to be dragged down the path of a bloviating vulgarian ignoramus in the White House whose entire administration epitomizes a shallow, anti-intellectual physicality?  A poor, one-book reader, Abraham Lincoln, still represents Liberty, best dressed.

“Politics + Promises = Poverty”

  “Politics + Promises = Poverty”
Politicians should remember this connection between higher rates of economic growth and lower rates of poverty.  For by promising more and more health care, job protection, and other programs for middle-income America, they jeopardize economic growth.  Such reckless political promise might be an avenue to political power.  But it is also a road to poverty. William Allen’s 1989

Calling on the politician to remember that the government interventions that enhance his power diminish the well-being of the people is akin to calling on the wolf to remember that his eating sheep diminishes the well-being of the sheep.  Neither the politician nor the wolf cares.  So just as the best way to protect the victims of wolves is to warn sheep to beware of wolves – to steer clear of them – the best way to protect the victims of politicians is to warn people to beware of politicians – to steer clear of them.

Aren’t you ‘sickofit?’

What is the worst crime in the history of the Navajo nation?  No not whatever you are thinking.  A recent rape and murder with a tire iron of a young girl under the Barack Obama’s post racial presidency, that’s what. I heard it on the news with my own ears.

PPCSP  - another government help program for people owing back taxes.  Translate:  Protection Plus Clean Slate Program that says integrity is a thing of the past when much of what is owed can be forgiven.   Aren’t you ‘sickofit?’

Darn, over 60 years and no better off.

Go back to some yesteryear of the 1950’s and hear Ronald Reagan:  “From hundreds of people in every part of the country, I heard complaints about how the ever-expanding federal government was encroaching on liberties we’d always taken for granted, …I heard it so often that after a while I became convinced that some of our fundamental freedoms were in jeopardy because of the emergence of a permanent government never envisioned buy the framers of the Constitution.”  Darn, over 60 years and no better off.

Final thought: Buyer beware

Two thoughts after Trump’s solitary standing now for the Presidency
“Corruption does not set in in an instant…it is the result of a developing decay, manifested first in little things, in isolated spots and tissues, and finally, unchecked taking possession of the entire body.” James Burnham

“”We can lose our freedom all at once by succumbing to Russia … or we can lose it gradually by installments – the end result is slavery.”  … “Get any part of a proposed program accepted, then with the principle of government participation in the field established, work for expansion, always aiming at the ultimate goal – a government that will someday be a big brother to us all.”  Ronald Reagan
