Darkness and light

Darkness ended when the big bang dawned,
And five centuries before Christ the Lord,
Euripides knew "how oft the darkest hour
Of ill breaks brightest into dawn."

Darkness always tries to swallow the light,
But when light shines it swallows up darkness.
Whoever is born is born to die - but
From darkness is born again into the light.
