Delusion vs. reality

History has often been made in transition periods between governance. Lenin, the Communist leader of the Russian Revolution of 1917, believed that a transition period was needed between the overthrow of established absolutism and the dictatorship of the proletariat. Unfortunately, because conditions were right and ripe, Lenin scrapped the transition phase two and leapt directly to phase three - the violent takeover. As history has proved, destruction is never constructive. No less a dramatic plunge is Obama making in his transitional decision making. Hoped for change is not being revealed. Party hacks, liberal old-timers, extreme leftists and a 3rd reprisal of the Clinton administration are rearing their its ugly heads in the persons Obama is choosing for his transitional team and in his choice of Chief of Staff, Emmanuel. Moderate, centrist leadership is not on display.

Only a liberal could write that President-elect Obama is a symbol of the "emanations of collective and collusive dreaming." Only a realist presents data that 156 billion dollars by 2035 to delay global warming by 1 hour by the end of the century seem tantamount to insanity. Support from liberals as well as fuzzy words from our leader like "global education deficit," bode ill for America’s future. Combine the obvious plays to traditional liberalism and die-hard socialism with a Messiah of misdirection and mishmash with fellow travelers of Marx, Lenin and Obama’s ‘perfectible’ America and buyers beware!
