EXPERIENCE

What constitutes the ‘college experience?’  The high school ‘experience?’  I contend the word contains a double meaning- one about the world versus one of the mind.  Should the goal of learning be fixed on the social aspects of the exterior world or on the thought-provoking and reasoning aspects of  the interior world of the mind?   How much time remains for students after  physical explorations and achievements?  How much studying, thinking or reading can fit into their daily budgets?  Just asking. Also, how much does a book, a flight of fancy or a passing thought cost?   Just thinking that a “mind is a terrible thing to waste.”
