Guess where and when?

Article III Guess where and when? “Religion, morality and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged. The utmost good faith shall always be observed toward the Indians; their lands and property shall never be taken from them without their consent; and, in their property, right, and liberty, they never shall be invaded or disturbed, unless in just and lawful wars authorized by Congress; but laws founded in justice and humanity shall, from time to time be made, for preventing wrongs being done to them and for preserving peace and friendship with them. Guess where this double play of duplicity comes from? The Ordinance of 1787 ( An Ordinance for the Government of the Territory of the United States Northwest of the River Ohio). 1. We now have no religion, morality or knowledge in our schools. 2. All treaties with and good will towards the Indians came to naught. 1. The Indians were doomed from the beginning of foreign settlement. 2. Our schools were doomed from the moment ‘good government’ turned bad. When was that?
