Same heroine

Yesterday's heroine is still today's subject. A brave and generous Arthur Ashe was quoted in my local paper as saying: "True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost." The mark of unselfish heroism fell on the young woman who recently rescued 26 horses from the McHenry, Ill. barn fire. When her time came to serve. she answered the call. Glory slept as she worked to rescue as many horses as she could.
