What does “mene, mene, tekel, upharsin,”mean when Belshazzar read this handwriting on the wall at his lavish feast? “Numbered, numbered, weighed, division,” which Daniel in the Old Testament interpreted to mean “God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it; thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting.” To supplement my previous blog comparing Belshazzar to Obama and the end of his reign, isn’t this message timely? 3% of blacks commit 30% of crimes. Foster homes are now called kinship homes. A meeting room is now called an integrity room. Yes, I heard all of this on the local news. I feel as depressed as a Tea Party person can feel when the government reports that 60 million Americans (I must be one) are disabled.
