BOBBLING AGAIN

IF I'VE BENT IT ONCE, I'VE BENT IT MORE THAN TWICE, BOBBLED LEFT AND BOBBLED RIGHT, BUT TO LISTEN TO AN ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR, I PAY THE PRICE - EVERY TIME. THEY CONTINUALLY AND PREDICTABLY PUT THEIR USELESSNESS INTO WORDS. A LOCAL POOH BAH WAS DISCUSSING A NEW MENTOR PROGRAM AT A NEARBY HIGH SCHOOL WHICH WOULD BE, I QUOTE, "INCORPORATING THIS YEAR ON." FRACTURED GRAMMAR IS ONLY HALF OF THE EQUATION FOR THE LOSING FORMULA OF PUBLIC EDUCATION. WITH IMPROPER SYNTAX MY MAN ALSO REFERRED TO THE "MANY PROGRAMS IS NOT OFTEN ABLE TO" TALK ABOUT. THE OTHER HALF OF THE EQUATION FOR FAILURE IS EXEMPLIFIED BY THIS MENTOR PROGRAM WHICH PUT OLDER STUDENTS IN FRONT OF CLASSES TO "TEACH" AND, I QUOTE AGAIN, "GIVE A FACE TO RELATE TO." EVEN THOUGH, TYPICALLY, CORRECT ENGLISH IS DISSED BY THESE EDUCATORS, WHAT'S MORE TROUBLING IS THE INGRAINED SYSTEM WITH PRIORITIES TOPSY-TURVY AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT RELEGATED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE MUST DO LIST. STUDENTS, I QUOTE MY MAN AGAIN, "CAN EXCEL ACADEMICALLY WITH CLUBS." REALLY! AS THIS MAN'S MOUTH WAS MULTITASKING, I REALIZED IT SOUNDED OUT THE THE FAILED EDUCATIONAL EQUATION IN TODAY'S SCHOOLS THAT ACTIVITY TRUMPS THOUGHT. ACTIVITIES FOR SOCIALIZATION, IN SPORTS AND WITH COMMUNITY SPIRIT ARE PARAMOUNT. THE LONELY ART OF STUDYING (WITH MUCH MANDATORY HOMEWORK) AND PRIVATE THINKING IS LONELY INDEED. NO WONDER I BOBBLE. ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS, ADMINISTRATORS AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE SUPERFLUOUS - EXCEPT FOR GARNISHING GOVERNMENT DOLLARS. CALL ME OLD-FASHIONED, BUT I CAN ONLY CONCENTRATE ON ONE ACTION AT A TIME. WHILE MY HEAD BOBBLES, MY BRAIN CAN'T ENGAGE.
