CRESCENT MOON

MY ORANGE CRESCENT MOON,
HUNG IN THE EAST'S BLACK NIGHT,
SHOULD CRUSH THEIR DOUBTING EYES,
PEEL THEIR SOULS WITH ITS RARE LIGHT,
ITS BRAVE FRONT TO MORNING'S DEATH.
BUT DAWN UNVEILS THEIR MEANNESS,
THEIR LEANEST LEARNING, A SCREED,
IT BREAKS MY HEART, OH FATHER,
WHY MUST I ALWAYS BLEED?
