PRESSED TO DEATH

Who or what is being pressed to death? Ohio is soliciting a Toyota auto plant to the tune of $30 million dollars in tax abatements, to secure approximately 2000 jobs. Do the math. Workers would cost $15,000 each in lost state revenue before they put in one day of work. Who 'foots this bill?" Who have $30 million dollars drained from their pockets? Will the Toyota hirelings pay back the $15,000 it took to get them there because they are obviously already overpaid. The answer of progressives (liberal is a discarded nomenclature) is you, you the people. Not we the people, because an elitist never contributes what he says the 'other' rich person should. A progressive goal is to level out the hills and valleys of income in our society and press them into a 'fair and balanced' plateau. They can't see that a landscape of a "uniform and high quality" income distribution - or public education - is an oxymoron. What causes ups and downs in the first place? Talent and its pursuit. From whence does talent arise? The mind. Who, if we are Creationists or believers in Intelligent Design, or what, if we are followers of evolutionary biology, is being pressed to death by progressive opponents of freedom, is the human mind - and it is a terrible thing to waste.
