Who is safe?

I live in a divided country - two nations. One wants to keep the protesters safe. The other wants to keep the police and innocent citizens safe. None are safe now. Too bad, because the left 'sees' through one pair of glasses and the right sees through a totally different pair of specs. Each is blind to the other. I cannot have  common ground with an alternative world view to mine. Words like compromise, solidarity and togetherness are meaningless. Let's face reality. Theirs and mine. Totally different. What is to be done? Two sets of consciences will continue to guide two paths in life.
