An uplifting anecdote

Why would a number of people turn out at midnight in 1990 under the Ontario, Canada sky to bury a local hero on his home turf 25 years after they knew and loved him? Just because the legend and memory of a great race horse and an even greater stallion at stud finally died at age 29.  Northern Dancer put Canada on the horseracing map. Horse lovers don't forget.
