The fairer sex?gender

"No immediately apparent signs of trauma" - is this proper grammar? Who cares when one listens to the news read by uninformed and/or ill-informed copy readers? Usually a woman who can't slow down her speech or control her rasping, unfeminine voice, reads the news. How  have we come to this? The oppressed gender oppresses the sensibilities of both men and women each time they open their mouths. The 'fairer' sex knows everything; the 'smarter' halves teach us everything. The loveliest of women like First Lady Melania Trump are ignored; the ugliest like (fill in the blank) triumph. Oh No!
