Become a rational renegade

A news report said that highway messaging over the past year was designed to cut down on auto accidents and fatalities. The next sentence said that fatalities last year were up 8%. I kid you not. "We have sunk to such a depth that the restatement of the obvious has become the first duty of intellectual men."  George Orwell's words say it all, don't they?  Waste, corruption, irrelevance and the uselessness of government being obvious, what can we thinking beings do to remain sane?  Eat, pray, love?
