Fake Hunger Crock

In Chicago, school district 84% of students qualify for free or reduced breakfast or lunch at school. Do they need to be fed? Well, 147 sites were opened during the teachers’ strike to feed the hungry students. 4,800 meals were served although 400,000 meals are typically served per day. DO THE MATH. Could it be that claims that 84% of the children are starving because their parents can’t feed them is all a crock. Has the strike caused “massive food spoilage” as official content or do we have proof that students are not hungry, can be fed when not in school and thus do not need free meals? Waste truly annoys me.
