Choose

Who does not spend reasonably when at every turn I hear of a grant, program or loan?

Who is not behaving rationally when I hear that a ‘new’ G.I. Bill to help war veterans attend college is on order? It violates the obvious fact that some men (and women) do not need or want to obtain a higher education.

Who does not choose morally when he suggests that we pay veterans a bonus for their services? He forgets that the right to be a free, American citizen infers a corresponding duty, to serve one’s country. Extra payment should not be an incentive.

Who does not save responsibly when I hear demands for universal health care because citizens cannot afford private health insurance? Many people don’t need or want it. There is no health care crisis. Life span is continually being extended. Americans are healthier than ever recreating and traveling more. Yet costs of and demand for services keep going up.

Whoever excuses dependency, represses the four freedoms.
