THREE STRIKES

HERBERT HOOVER SEALED HIS POLITICAL FATE DURING THE DEPRESSION AFTER THE STOCK MARKET CRASH OF 1929 WITH THREE MISTAKES:

1. HE INSTIGATED RULES THAT INTERFERED WITH NORMAL BUSINESS DECISIONS.

2. HE SIGNED THE SMOOT-HAWLEY TARIFF TAXING IMPORTS INTO THE U.S.

3. HE INTERRUPTED THE FREE MARKET ACTIVITIES OF THE U.S. STOCK MARKET

AN ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY CONFIRMED FOR ME THE SAD FATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION AFTER ITS LIBERAL' TAKE-OVER IN THE 1960'S.

1. BECAUSE OF THE PERCEIVED NEED OF STUDENTS FOR PEER APPROVAL AND SUPPORT

2. BECAUSE OF THE PERCEIVED NEED OF STUDENTS OF HELP FROM MENTORS

3. BECAUSE OF THE PERCEIVED NEED OF STUDENTS FOR ADVICE FROM ADVISORS

WHAT'S THE COMMON DENOMINATOR FOR EACH OF THE ABOVE 6 DESTRUCTIVE MEASURES? HELP! SOME ONE SOMEWHERE SOMEHOW SOMETIME IN SOME WAY THOUGHT THAT SOME ENTITY OR SOME PERSON NEEDED 'OUTSIDE' HELP. EACH FIX-IT FORGOT (FORGETS) THAT THE ONLY SOLUTION TO A PROBLEM IS A POSITIVE DOSE OF SELF-HELP WASHED DOWN WITH THAT SOOTHING NECTAR, TIME.
