GESTAPO, STATSI, NKVD & NOW OBAMA’S HOMELAND SECURITY SWAT TEAM

GESTAPO, STATSI, NKVD & NOW OBAMA’S HOMELAND SECURITY SWAT TEAM

1. Factory, Says Gibson Guitar CEO

“Henry. A SWAT team from Homeland Security just raided our factory!”

“What? This must be a joke.”

“No this is really serious. We got guys with guns, they put all our people out in the parking lot and won’t let us go into the plant.”

“Whoa.”

What is happening?” asks Gibson Guitar CEO Henry Juszkiewicz when he arrives at his Nashville factory to question the officers. “We can’t tell you.” “What are you talking about, you can’t tell me, you can’t just come in and …” “We have a warrant!” Well, lemme see the warrant.” “We can’t show that to you because it’s sealed.”

While 30 men in SWAT attire dispatched from Homeland Security and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service cart away about half a million dollars of wood and guitars, seven armed agents interrogate an employee without benefit of a lawyer. The next day Juszkiewicz receives a letter warning that he cannot touch any guitar left in the plant, under threat of being charged with a separate federal offense for each “violation,” punishable by a jail term.

No charges ever filed but a fine of $250,000 and a “Donation” of $50.000 to an enviormentalist group was “freely” made.  The lumber has never been returned.

2.  Something to keep in mind: Every single piece of legislation is a restriction on someone’s or some businesses’ liberty – legislation cannot expand your rights, it can only restrict it.

Thus, yes, every law and regulation passed is a step toward “forc[ing] legal enterprises out of business” or to conform/do what the powers want done.

Welcome to the party.

LIBERALISM, PROGRESSIVISM & SOCIALISM: inexcusably uncivilized, destructive, immoral, and antediluvian

LIBERALISM, PROGRESSIVISM & SOCIALISM:  inexcusably uncivilized, destructive, immoral, and  antediluvian

Piketty promotes the politics of envy, in which greater equality is a goal in itself — as opposed to the goal of helping out those at the bottom of the income distribution — and Piketty plainly states that the policies he recommends to reduce inequality would do so by pulling down those at the top rather than bringing up those at the bottom.

Indeed.  It is truly – yet sadly – astonishing that attitudes and behaviors that rightly bring down punishment on children who exhibit them on the playground (envying the toys that others have and ganging up to take from those who are perceived to have more toys) are regarded as progressive, humane, and just when exhibited by adult voters and when encouraged in adults by adult professors, pundit, politicians, and preachers.  Such attitudes are inexcusably uncivilized, destructive, immoral, and (contrary to “Progressives’” fancies) antediluvian.

NOEMIE EMERY:

They had a dream. For almost a hundred years now, the famed academic-artistic-and-punditry industrial complex has dreamed of a government run by their kind of people (i.e., nature’s noblemen), whose intelligence, wit, and refined sensibilities would bring us a heaven on earth. Their keen intellects would cut through the clutter as mere mortals’ couldn’t. They would lift up the wretched, oppressed by cruel forces. Above all, they would counter the greed of the merchants, the limited views of the business community, and the ignorance of the conformist and dim middle class. . . .

As Edsall asked, “Is the federal government capable of managing the provision of a fundamental service through an extraordinarily complex system?” The answer is probably no, and even if it is yes, it’s abundantly clear that the uber-class of super-professionals aren’t the people to do it. Their faith in academics and experts had failed this new class of liberals, as would soon become obvious. Their related belief that the opinion of the less-elite classes should not be important would soon fail them, too.

Even though the media class pretty much bought into the whole idea of rule by people like them.

Read and Weep

            Read and Weep

Guess who and when?  “If Congress can apply money indefinitely to the general welfare and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hand, they may establish teachers in every state, county, and parish, and pay them out of the public treasure; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union, they may undertake the regulation of all roads, other than post roads.  In short everything from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police would be thrown under the power of Congress.”  James Madison, 1791

POLITICIANS AS UGLY THESPIANS

POLITICIANS AS UGLY THESPIANS

Jeff Jacoby is correct that President Obama’s competence at executing various desired policies, such as deficit reduction and reforming the VA, falls far short of candidate Obama’s competence at convincing voters that he possesses unusually high competence at executing such policies (“Obama fails to show his vaunted ‘competence,’” May 25).  But such is politics.

The typical politician’s orations are crafted to win votes and applause by duping audiences into imagining that that politician is someone who he or she certainly is not.  To believe that Barack Obama (or Mitt Romney, or Hillary Clinton, or Jeb Bush, or you name the thespian pining for stardom on the Potomac) can really perform heroic feats such as ending corruption, securing world peace, and creating more prosperity than can be created by free markets, is akin to believing that Hugh Laurie can really cure seriously ill hospital patients of mysterious ailments or that William Shatner can really pilot a starship and save the galaxy from alien villains.

A rat or that

     A rat or that

Which is higher on the evolutionary scale – a rat or that student-killer in California? Rats inadvertently have caused mass plagues; he deliberately (watch his Youtube video) caused his mass murder of innocents. Rats live in a sewer, he – spoiled -  in a BMW.  But because the motive is the message, rats have had none for their plagues, but big creep in

California without morals,  killed 7 people all because he couldn’t get laid. ?  No sex?  Contrast a rat to that jerk just in the news for another slaughter.  Better a pet rat than a wayward child, I say.  A rat rather than that!

Memorial Day message

Memorial Day message

No talk, no testimonials, just read a book about war, remember and pray.

MEMORIAL DAY

“I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth – that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?”  This ? was asked by Benjamin Franklin of the delegates arguing amongst themselves at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, 1787.
I say, enough of talk this Memorial Day about living veterans, that is what Veterans Day is for, when instead we should be remembering the Soldiers, Sailors and Marines who died fighting for our freedoms.  Enough of talk when prayer alone can solve this country’s present problems

'Don’t speak unless you can improve the silence.’

‘Don’t speak unless you can improve the silence.’

H.L. Mencken’s wise warning that “[i]t is the theory of all modern civilized governments that they protect and foster the liberty of the citizen; it is the practice of all of them to limit its exercise, and sometimes very narrowly.”*

GEORGE WILL:.

Candidates are constantly asked, ‘Where will you take the country?’ My answer is: ‘Nowhere.’ The country is not a parcel to be ‘taken’ anywhere. It is the spontaneous order of 316 million people making billions of daily decisions, cooperatively contracting together, moving the country in gloriously unplanned directions.

“A congenial society is one in which most people most of the time, and all politicians almost all of the time, say, when asked about almost everything: ‘This is none of my business.’ If as president I am asked what I think about the death of a rock star, or the imbecilic opinions of rich blowhards who own professional sports teams, I will say: ‘Americans should have no interest in my thoughts about such things, if I had any.’ I will try not to come to the attention of any television camera more than once a week, and only that often if I am convinced that I can speak without violating what will be my administration’s motto: ‘Don’t speak unless you can improve the silence.’

Al Qaeda Terrorists At Guantanamo Treated Better Than American Veterans.

DOCTOR TO PATIENT RATIO: Gitmo ratio is 1.5 to 1, for America’s 9 million veterans at VA health, the ratio is 35 to 1

“Al Qaeda detainees get better medical treatment than our veterans. Say what? Yes, it’s true. I know because I served as a Pentagon spokesman from 2005-2009 and visited Guantanamo Bay Naval Base over 30 times during those years. Doctors and medical personnel are at their beck and call. Got a cold, a fever, a toothache, a tumor, chest or back pain, mental health issues, PTSD? No problem, come right on in. Military doctors are waiting to see you. The VA and Gitmo eligible patient-to-health care provider ratios speak volumes. While the Gitmo ratio is 1.5 to 1, for America’s 9 million veterans receiving VA health care and 267,930 VA employees, the ratio is 35 to 1. . . . In late 2008, when Obama was president-elect, he and his staff were warned not to trust the wait times reported by VA health care facilities. But instead of fixing the problem, their focus was closing Guantanamo and improving the comfort of detainees. Even though they already lived under some of the best prison conditions ever seen.”

Politicians and other cunning men

Who knew that our Founding Fathers knew it all about politics?  James Madison’s tutor from Scotland wisely said a sign was a “thing that gives notice something different from itself.” BUT he said that:  “Politicians and other cunning men of business, (who)  by great and refined dissimulation, have  in great measure confound and stifled the natural indications of their inmost thoughts.”

“Knowledge, Values and the Choice of Economic Organization“

The sacrifice of cognition is particularly easy to detect in objections to the market system induced by discrepancies between one’s desires (usually glorified as social values) and the result of market processes.  One dislikes the results of the market process.  One also is convinced that one knows what the world needs and finds the allocations emerging on the market not satisfactorily tending to these favored needs.  Ergo, the market has failed and should be replaced by an administrative arrangement.  One is always convinced that this arrangement operates in the manner desired by ones’s wishes.  The obvious naiveté of this critique does not preclude its frequency and appeal to many articulators.

Among the valuable insights in this passage from Brunner is the recognition that not only do too many advocates of government intervention fancy themselves to possess some special god-like wisdom, but they also believe in miracles.

Let the gay horse run

What say you?  Gay marriage vs. a nose strip? One judge overturned a law so that gay marriage is NOW legal.  Why can't a judge now render the ban on nose strips for racing horses legal? What say you?  No is never no; yes is never yes in today's corrupt culture.

Philosophy lesson of the day

            Unsilenced Cal

Philosophy lesson of the day from Jacques Maritain in 1932:  “Now the theological virtues and the supernatural gifts are the only things that are above reason. On all sides …the cry is heard: spirit, spirituality! But upon what spirit are you calling?  If it is not the Holy Spirit, you might just as well call upon the spirit of wood alcohol or the spirit of wine. The whole so-called spiritual, all the self-styled suprarational which does not exist in charity only serves animality in the final reckoning.  Hatred for reason will never be anything but a revolt of the genus against its specific difference.  Dreaming is quite the contrary to contemplation.  If purity consists in a perfect releasing of life in accordance with the trends of its own mechanisms, it exists more truly in the brute than in the saint.”

Simplified explanation: We need a return to Christian values not the triumph of relativism masquerading as reason.  Utopian multiculturalism, socialism, Communism or liberalism won’t save any day ( or person or country).

            Unsilenced Cal

Another philosophy lesson from Arnold Lunn in the 1930’s:  The Catholic looks out from the walls of his citadel and sees a world relapsing into that paganism from which Christianity emerged.  The Catholic knows that the enemy has long ceased to concern himself with …. Dispersed and uncoordinated forces, but is concentrating all his attack on the central citadel…”

Simplified explanation:  Our culture is being destroyed from within ( like Rome) by  anti-Christian and big Brother government’s rot.

Last philosophy message from 1939 by Igino Giordani:  Women enter Christian society endowed with equal rights with man because she enters it with a soul and among souls there is no distinction of sex or class.  But she enters it also with the distinctive nature of woman and so, dictates are imposed on her which are most suited to that nature.  In the cycle of Redemption, the highest human creature after Christ is a woman, Mary, in which humanity has collaborated in the highest degree with the work of God.

Simplified explanation:   Any so called homophobia or racism or war on women today is just phoney bunkum.

ONLY TAXPAYER MONEY

ONLY $6.7 BILLION – A BARGAIN

Add it all up, and ObamaCare’s startup cost is at least $6.7 billion. Even if every one of the 8 million enrollees pays their premiums all year, the cost is more than $837 per sign-up.

And if recent surveys are correct that just a third of enrollees previously lacked coverage, ObamaCare will have cost $2,500 for each newly insured person.

REDUNDENT LAWS

What think you about Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s newly announced “elder justice initiative?”  Catchy 3 word phrase, right? Just what we need, another something which spends precious time and money. It’s just so ridiculous.  Aren’t every one of these things already covered by laws or assumptions of humane behavior and/or common sense.  Nope.  America, I swear has adopted hubris as the national sport.

D-DAY DISREMEMBERED

Begin forwarded message:

Subject: June 6, 2014

God Help Us!!!

Every year the French have a 4 day celebration in Normandy complete with American uniforms, tanks, jeeps and guns. They still honor the Americans who died there....

June 6, 2013, the 69th anniversary of "D-Day", the largest invasion ever attempted, where 200,000 Americans stormed the beaches at Normandy to begin the final push to defeat Nazi Germany in WWII. D-Day marked the turning point in WWII in Europe ... Today, European heads of state make it a point to recall and honor the sacrifices of those who landed in Normandy , as do our Presidents.... well, most of them....

In the 69 years since D-Day, there are four occasions when the President of the United States chose not to visit the D-Day Monument that honors the soldiers killed during the Invasion.

 The occasions were:

 1. Barack Obama, 2010

2. Barack Obama, 2011

3. Barack Obama, 2012

4. Barack Obama, 2013

For the past 69 years, every American President except Obama have taken the time to honor the memory and sacrifices of the 6,000 American soldiers killed on D-Day. ...Except Obama!

June 6 2010, Obama had no events scheduled.

June 6, 2011, Obama met with the National Security team and was interviewed by WEWS Cleveland and WDIV in Detroit about the auto industry - FAR too busy to visit the D-Day memorial.

June 6, 2012, instead of honoring our fallen soldiers, Obama made a campaign trip to California on Air Force 1 (at our expense) to raise funds for (his) upcoming election.

June 6, 2013, Obama was doing ANOTHER fund raiser with the multimillionaires in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Palo Alto , CA , once again at our expense.

 America - Aren't you proud?

 Four times in 69 years!!

SHAME ON AMERICA FOR ELECTING A NON-VETERAN PRESIDENT WHO DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF: HE IS ABSOLUTELY A DISGRACE TO ALL WHO FOUGHT FOR THIS NATION AND GAVE THEIR LIVES.

VETERANS - PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO YOUR VETERAN FRIENDS AND

I did forward it. Will you????

Historically, government’s primary function has been to exploit the industrious

Historically, government’s primary function has been to exploit the industrious

Historically, government’s primary function has been to exploit the industrious–anyone who works and trades in the market–for the sake of the political class, which prefers collecting subsidies to earning wages or profits.   ….   The privileges take the form of tariffs, licenses, monopolies, land grants, [patents], and other subsidies. These enable favored interests to increase their incomes beyond what the market would provide, either by forcibly extracting wealth from producers or by barring them from competitively serving consumers. The name for this privilege-based system is mercantilism, and in many ways it lives on today even in market-oriented economies, which is why they are often called mixed economies.
